Obama: Terror explosives found, bound for US
By EILEEN SULLIVAN and MATT APUZZO, Associated Press Eileen Sullivan And Matt Apuzzo, Associated Press
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama declared Friday that authorities had uncovered a "credible terrorist threat" against the United States following the overseas discovery of U.S.-bound packages containing explosives aboard cargo jets. Obama said both had been addressed to Jewish organizations in the Chicago area.
The disclosures triggered a worldwide alert amid fears that al-Qaida was attempting to carry out fresh terror attacks. The events "underscore the necessity of remaining vigilant against terrorism," the president said. The packages both originated in Yemen, but Obama did not explicitly assign blame to al-Qaida, which is active in the Arab nation and long has made clear its goal of attacking the United States. The events unfolded four days before national elections in which discussion of terrorism has played almost no role.
Obama stepped to the podium in the hours after officials disclosed that authorities in Dubai intercepted an explosive device bound for a Chicago-area Jewish institution. The second package was aboard a plane searched in England, and officials said it contained a printer toner cartridge with wires and powder. That second package was aboard a plane in East Midlands, north of London. Obama did not identify any institution that had been targeted.
Several other cargo planes at airports along the Eastern Seaboard of the United States also were searched, and officials said no explosives were found. An Emirates Airlines passenger jet carrying cargo from Yemen was escorted from the Canadian border to New York City by two military fighter jets, U.S. officials said. They said it was a precautionary action.
An FBI spokesman in Chicago, Ross Rice, said both suspicious packages had been sent from the same address in Yemen.
The president refrained from assigning blame to Yemen's al-Qaida branch, but officials who spoke on condition of anonymity said they were increasingly certain that was the source. The same group was responsible for the attempted bombing of a U.S.-bound airliner last Christmas.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity, citing the ongoing investigation.
White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan later told reporters that the explosives "were in a form that was designed to try to carry out some type of attack," but he provided no further details.
"The forensic analysis is under way," he said, adding, "Clearly from the initial observation, the initial analysis that was done, the materials that were found in the device that was uncovered was intended to do harm."

WFAA RELEASES FULL BRODEN INTERVIEW: PROVES REMARKS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT
Prolonged Discussion of Declaration of Independence and Historical Foundations of U.S. Explain Broden’s Remarks
DALLAS, October 27 – On Tuesday, under pressure from Stephen Broden supporters to back up the context of media reports last week, WFAA-Channel 8 released the full video of Broden’s interview with Brad Watson. The full footage confirms Broden’s position that his remarks were misrepresented, and that the disputed discussion was historical and philosophical in nature. Broden’s comments centered around the Declaration of Independence. In the interview, he stated that “I’m only referring to the language that is in the Declaration that says we have a right to alter, to adjust the government or abolish it.”
At no time did Broden advocate, as some media reports have indicated, that violent revolution would be acceptable if Republican candidates did not win in November. Broden stated during the interview, “I think what we have in the Constitution is a process through which we can alter what may be tyranny that is happening in our nation. At the ballot box.” He later elaborated, “I’ve always said that, that we are not at the point of abolishment. We are at the point of alteration [of the government through electoral change].”
Nevertheless, Broden was asked eight separate times by Watson if he advocates violent revolution. Broden
repeatedly answered that we have a constitutional option to change our leaders at the ballot box. Perhaps most ironic is that Broden predicted that his historical discussion of the Declaration of Independence in its own language could be unfairly used against him, but still trusted Watson to handle his comments honorably:
Watson: Do you think that some of your remarks could hurt you in this election, particularly with the electorate in this District?
Broden: If it is not given the context and if someone like you would, would lift it out and make it seem as if I am some kind of radical, I think it could potentially, could potentially, but I think if people are fair …
At the end of the interview, Broden noted that “revolution, that is a very incendiary word and it could be used to uh, as a negative … [but that] … we are not at the point of abolishment. We are at the point of alteration.”
Immediately prior to making that statement, the following exchange occurred:
Watson: But you’re saying if we have a constitutional remedy, which would be at the ballot box, and the framers said if that don’t work revolution, what do you mean by revolution? Do you mean a violent overthrow of the government?
Broden: It doesn’t have to be violent at all. It could happen at the ballot box when we change out our leadership.
Pastor Stephen Broden is the Republican nominee for Congressional District 30 running against Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX).

Pastor Stephen Broden is the Republican nominee for Congressional District 30 running against Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX).

Today on The Wells Report Thursday October 21, 2010
Fall is in the air. Texas Rangers are making baseball history and Juan Williams is exercising his 1st amendment rights to the displeasure of NPR. They fired him. Since when is someone not allowed to say how they feel? Westboro Baptist Church comes to mind. VP of Communications, Mike Gonzalez from the Heritage Foundation will stop by and suggest the defunding of NPR. Since when is National Public Radio not for the nation? Everyone has their own opinions, right? Mark Mix from the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation calls in to talk about Jon Stossel's blog on how public sector unions are choking tax-payers. Are unions what they used to be? And Pastor Stephen Broden, candidate for Congress in TX District 30 drops by to talk about his latest endorsement from The Dallas Morning News. That's a big one. SHOCK! SUSPENSE! SCANDAL! On The Wells Report Today Tuesday October 19, 2010
After 1 day of early voting scandal rocks TX District 30. Congressional Candidate Stephen Broden is pushing it to the limit to de-throne her highness Eddie Bernice Johnson. BUT how can he do that if his name is not on the ballot? Scandal? Maybe. In Desoto, Duncanville, and Cedar Hill, at least 1 polling place from each has confirmed that Stephen Broden's name is not on the ballot. NOT ON THE BALLOT! If you're voting for him and you don't see his name, turn around and say something. REMEMBER, A NO VOTE IS A VOTE FOR EDDIE BERNICE JOHNSON! Jon-David sits down with Republican County Chairman Jonathan Neerman to talk about early voting and what you should bring to the polls for a smooth ride into the booth. Bruce Sherbert, Elections Administrator for Dallas County to talk about the Broden/Johnson Ballot issue AND Debbie Georgeatos Communications Director for the Broden Campaign weighs in as well. Dr. Jerome Corsi joins Jon-David to talk about the Dream Act and that sneaky Amnesty bill slithering in the back door. Also, one very popular mega-church is filing for bankruptcy. When mega-churches get to the point of bankruptcy, do they give religion in general a bad name?? 1-866-660-KSKY (5759)

Hi, I'm Jon-David Wells. Election Day is right around the corner. This year's contest presents the country with the starkest of choices-choices I really do believe will shape the sort of country we leave to our children and grandchildren. I'm not alone when I make that observation and I know it. This election is of grave importance. I am asking you today to make sure you, your friends and your family vote. You can't afford to sit this one out. Find out now what's going on if you haven't kept up with the candidates and the issues. Call me if you don't understand and then get out there and VOTE!!!! 1-866-660-KSKY (5759)

Don't Ask Don't Tell in the news again. Jon-David wants to ask you a question so snap on your thinking cap. Why do we need Generals if we have Judges?? U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips' permanent injunction orders the military "immediately to suspend and discontinue any investigation, or discharge, separation, or other proceeding, that may have been commenced under the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. This comes from http://www.cnn.com/. Also Formerly named Discovery Kids on your cable schedule now called The Hub is going to broadcast a Muslim cartoon. Check out the website for the cartoon here. And Ron Kessler from Newsmax stop in to talk with Jon-David about why all of the Dems in green rooms across America diss President Obama behind the scenes. 40 Days for Life Campaign-Dallas
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 4, 2010
Rally scheduled October 9th to mark midpoint of 40 Days for Life-Dallas campaign
Dallas, Texas – 40 Days for Life-Dallas kicked off to an inspiring start on September 21st, as David Bereit, Founder and National Director of 40 Days for Life, spoke to a crowd of nearly 300 at Harry S. Moss Park, challenging them to commit more than ever before to the Cause of Life. “As we are about to reach Day 20 of our 40 days of prayer, fasting, vigil and outreach, it is time to gather with pro-life members of the Dallas community to share stories and encourage one another, building towards a strong finish of this momentous campaign,” said Lauren Muzyka, Co-Director of the Fall 2010 40 Days for Life-Dallas campaign. “We will gather again at Harry S. Moss Park at 8000 Greenville in Dallas on October 9th at noon for a family potluck picnic, along with ecumenical praise and worship and a rally.”
40 Days for Life is an intensive pro-life campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting, 40 days of peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and 40 days of grassroots educational outreach. The 40-day time frame is drawn from examples throughout Biblical history where God brought about world-changing transformation in 40-day periods.
Dallas is one of the many communities conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from September 22 through October 31. “We want to thank all the people who’ve made great personal sacrifices to bring 40 Days to Life-Dallas to the halfway point,” said Muzyka. “We also know that we still have a long way to go in our collective effort to demonstrate the harm abortion has done to Dallas.”
The midway event will begin with lively music by Praises for Life, followed by dynamic pro-life speakers including: Mark Crutcher, Founder and President of Life Dynamics; Father Douglas Zavala of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grand Prairie; and Carmen Pate, former President of Concerned Women for America and host of the national radio program “Point of View.”
“For the remainder of the 40 days of prayer and fasting and community outreach, we intend to gather for continuous prayer outside the Southwestern late-term abortion center at the Northeast corner of Greenville Avenue and Royal Lane in Dallas, praying for an end to abortion in our community. We look forward to the challenge of bringing 40 Days for Life-Dallas to an energetic conclusion,” said Joanne Underwood, Co-Director of the 40 Days for Life-Dallas campaign.
The 40 Days for Life-Dallas Midway Rally coincides with 40 Days for Life-Dallas Youth Day. Auxiliary Bishop Douglas Deshotel of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas will celebrate a Respect Life Mass at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. To learn more about 40 Days for Life-Dallas, visit: www.40daysforlife.com/dallas

Today on The Wells Report Thursay September 30, 2010
The mighty McDonald's has announced they would drop health care for nearly 30,000 workers and once the Wall Street Journal reported it, they retracted and the attacks on WSJ began. It's gettin' hairy and why wouldn't companies drop their health care if they don't need it anymore? Who cares what YOU want, the Government will cover you. Hmmm...there's something wrong with that philosophy. Congressman Devin Nunes from California will drop in to talk about his new book Restoring the Republic: A Clear, Concise and Colorful blueprint for America's Future. He can also answer your questions about the new GOP agenda. Pastor Stephen Broden has received the highly sought after Sarah Palin endorsement. Will it help? Former Department of Justice voting rights section chief Christopher Coates testified this morning before the Civil Rights Commission about the department's disposition of the case against the New Black Panther Party.
Coates directly disobeyed the instruction of his superiors in order to testify and claimed whistle blower protection for his testimony. It's a bombshell. It exposes a couple of Obama administration scandals. One involves the Obama administration's attempt to cover up the rationale for burying the case against the New Black Panthers Party. The other involves the Obama administration's support for the racially based administration of justice. Coates's testimony is suggestive of other scandals as well. Also, Dallas raises taxes and now introduces plans for new bike paths to be built. Um...wasn't that tax money for services and employees so that Dallas could continue to function? And Restoring the America Dream with Robert Ringer. Half of the population have any faith in either party and nearly a 3rd believe the American Dream and Granny and Gramps saw it is over. Environmental Protection Agency Reviewing Petition to Ban Lead Bullets-Will the EPA infuriate gun owners--and seal the fate of Democrats on November 2?
BY John McCormack
August 27, 2010 9:57 AM
Will Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson make a back door move to ban lead bullets the day before the November 2 elections?
Several environmentalist groups led by the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) are petitioning the EPA to ban lead bullets and shot (as well as lead sinkers for fishing) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Although EPA is barred by statute from controlling ammunition, CBD is seeking to work farther back along the manufacturing chain and have EPA ban the use of lead in bullets and shot because non-lead alternatives are available. But here's the catch: the alternatives to lead bullets are more expensive. A ban on the sale of lead ammunition would force hunters and sport shooters to buy non-lead ammunition that is often double the cost of traditional lead ammunition. A box of deer hunting bullets in a popular caliber could be upwards of $55.
