Help First Lieutenant Josh Waddell and send an e-mail to Senator John Cornyn

Washington Examiner
First Lieutenant for the US Marines, Josh Waddell's career is in trouble.  The son of a retired Navy SEAL commander, Waddell was awarded a Bronze Star during his first tour of duty in Afghanistan and had returned for a second.  Then he made a decision in combat that military experts say has severely jeopardized his future in the corps.  But some military experts say the black mark on Waddell's record was undeserved, that he and other young American officers are being put in a difficult, if not impossible, situation by unreasonable rules of engagement foisted upon the military by politically sensitive commanders in the Pentagon.  The facts in Waddell's case are spelled out in Marine Corps documents. But how those facts should be interpreted is a matter of heated dispute.  Read the full store here.

To help Josh, write a letter to Senator John Cornyn and ask him to look in to this.  Use the link here and send him a personal letter.

  1. Disgraceful to see a front-line combat leader, trying to do his job and keep his men safe, get treated like this.

  3. Dear 1st Lt Waddell
I'm forever grateful for the day you had the guts to sign on the dotted line to become a US Marine to defend our freedom and our country. I pray with all my heart that your commanding officer reviews this case and that someone steps up and does the right thing. No one can even begin to imagine the horror you warriors face out there. Times get chaotic and you make the best choices possible that will save the lives of your Marines. I know you did this. I question who's side your leaders are actually on???? Well you can rest assured I am on YOUR side. I hope/pray that those over you will do the right thing and let you go on with your Marine Corps Career. I thank my lucky stars every night for brave men like you. THANK YOU for all you have done for me. God bless you and your family that stand with you and fight for you. Count me in. I will be sending my letters to everyone I can for you. You have my word.
